It began in Larantuka, the town where our roots run deep. There, we met a “mama” whose love for sorghum reconnected us with our roots.

In her nursery, she nurtured ancient seeds like heirlooms, keeping alive a grain once central to our culture.

Through her, we saw that sorghum wasn’t forgotten — just waiting to be reawakened.

From Ancient Grain to Bold Brew

Inspired, we returned to the brewery with something bigger than an ingredient—a mission.

We experimented for months, determined to bring this ancient grain into a bold, modern expression.

The result is Halia — a sorghum beer with a ginger kick that’s bright, spicy, and deeply rooted in NTT’s soil.
It’s more than a drink. It’s a cultural revival in every glass — calling home the flavours of our ancestors.
